I always see people do these on Instagram and it looks like fun. Since I just celebrated my 30th birthday, I decided to do my own list of "30 things you probably don't know about me"
So here it goes.
• I can speak three languages. Spanish I learned at home, English and French in school.
• I was born in El Salvador and moved to Canada when I was a year old with my parents.
• My favorite shows growing up were Recess, Doug and Pepper-Ann
• I don't like the smell or taste of olives
• I have never been drunk in my life. Don't like the taste of alcohol, I've tried fruity drinks, but they taste so gross to me.
• My favorite movie is 'Ever After' I can quote it word for word.
•The moment I get home from anywhere, I have to get into sweat pants or pjs.
• I love rainy days. They make me just as happy as sunny days. I just want to curl up on the couch with my kids and watch movies.
•I hate flying. I do it, but I don't enjoy it and I can't relax on a plane. I did fall asleep on the plane ride from Georgia to Germany but that's because I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer and that was an 8 hour flight
• I watch Friends before going to bed and I laugh at the jokes like it's my first time watching it.
•I can't drive stick shift, tried to learn but couldn't figure it out.
•I have three younger brothers. My youngest brother and I are 12 years apart in age.
• I love to clean! I don't know why a clean house just gives me peace of mind.
• when I was a newly wed, I made chicken with mushroom sauce for dinner for the first time ever and it somehow ended up tasting like fish. Not my proudest moment. I've come a long way. Thanks Pinterest
• I have lived in Virginia Beach, Weston, Fl,Miami, Albany, Ga and now Germany. The military life is not for the faint of heart.
• I met my husband online in 2006. He had just returned from Iraq and we met in person 9 months later.
• I hate roller coasters. I am the official holder of wallets and cellphones and babies when we go to theme parks and I don't mind one bit!! I do like water slides though.
•I always wanted to be a mom, but it took me a long time to actually be one. I worked at a preschool and everyday I went home and I thanked God for my quiet house. My head would be pounding from all the noise those 2 year olds would make all day long. We had Vida 6 years after we were married and I had quit working at the preschool. It's different how much patience you have when it's your own children.
• I did zero sports and activities in highschool. I just wanted to go home after school to watch tv and to eat my mom's delicious food. Lazy! Lol
• I once texted my friend in my sleep. The next morning I read the text I sent her, and couldn't believe I had sent that and with no spelling errors. It was very weird.
• I eat ice cream out of a mug not a bowl.
• I didn't eat pasta until I married my husband. He got me hooked on spaghetti and I gained so much weight because of it
•I like staying up late and looking at Pinterest until 1am. Pinning fun stuff to do the next day.
• Wherever I go out, alone or in a group, I always look around and mentally plan an escape route. Just in case. I never sit in the inside of a table because if I need to make a quick getaway I can easily get out. This is something my husband taught me. It's always good to be prepared.
• I breastfed my daughter until she was 3.5. Once her brother was 1 month old I couldn't do it anymore. It made my skin crawl and I was left drained and hungry after they were both done. I would distract her when she wanted some and eventually she stopped asking.
• In Florida I pulled over to help a turtle cross the street, when I approached the turtle it looked like a monster and someone yelled "that's a snapping turtle" and I screamed and ran back to my car. I didn't know what a snapping turtle was and I'm so glad I didn't pick it up. He made it safely across though
• Me and Anthony drove from San Diego to Virginia Beach in 2008. We had so much fun checking out the Grand Canyon and eating at all the Ihops on the way.
• I have never broken a bone.
• I remember babysitting my two younger brothers when I was only 11. I can't believe how much my parents trusted me at that age.
•in highschool I accidentally took the tv remote to school thinking it was my cell phone. My dad was flipping the house looking for the remote all day lol
This was harder than I thought. Took a lot of thinking for this tired mom brain.
Thanks for stopping by. :)
