New Years Eve

We had a beautiful night. Full of family, food and fireworks. Man, do Germans know how to celebrate!!

Our town went crazy with fireworks. Sadly, Vida was terrified and watched them from inside with her daddy. 

We ate our marzipan pig at 12 for good luck in the new year. Our new German tradition for New Years!!! Vida loved it. 

          

My mom and I made a delicious shrimp ceviche for dinner. Even Vida ate some. She loves shrimp with lemon. 

The fireworks went off until 2am. Thankfully Vida slept through it all. She was tired. 

We had coca cola floats and cake for dessert and we watched Just Friends. We went to bed very late but I'm happy Vida slept in the next day until 12:45pm. We had a huge breakfast, a lazy day at home and ended the night with a Chinese Buffet as a goodbye dinner for my parents who were heading back home to Canada. We miss them so so much.
