Strawberry Picking

My friend and I took our kids to the local strawberry patch last week to pick lots and lots of strawberries. 

We thought that a couple of 4 year olds would be a great help to get the job done much quicker, but no, they ate more than they picked. We did most of the work. 

These strawberries were so sweet. I had plans to make jam, strawberry shortcake etc, but that night my husband made waffles and homemade whipped cream and we ate the whole basket of strawberries. So this means we need to go back soon. 

This is the face of a girl who ate too much and is full and sleepy. 

This little one ate quite a few strawberries too. 

Have you gone strawberry picking? When we lived in Georgia, we went blueberry Picking almost daily during that season, and couldn't get enough blueberries for us, we ate them too fast.  It was so much fun to go with friends and come home to make delicious blueberry treats.
